Friends, Family & Final Goodbyes

The time has almost come to jet off around the world; the last few days have been spent with my friends and family saying our final goodbyes. It is a strange feeling knowing that the people have surrounded myself with for most of my life won't be there to go for a beer with or pop round the house for a brew.

I am pretty sure they will all miss me more than I will miss them, I mean when you look at it in the grand scheme of things how lucky are they to have The Bearded Manc as their, son, brother, uncle, grandson & mate.... Just kidding I think :)

I have racked my brains on how to mention people on this blog, to talk about them maybe how we became friends or the crazy stuff we have got up to over the years. I mean some of the people in the picture above I have known for 20 years, some I have known for 15, some I have only known for a few years. Regardless of time known or what you have done together each of the people above have become mates that may not be with you every weekend, but when you meet up, you carry on straight where you left off last time you spoke or met up.

My family, were do I start? We have had our ups and downs our break ups and make ups like all families do, but above all, we are a family. We have stood by each other through some pretty dark times, but we are HUCKVALE'S we get through it and come out the other side bigger and stronger than before. I am not from a privileged background we were not a wealthy family, but we never went without, We have all grown up to be good kids, and my mum should be super proud of that. I will miss my little sister the most, she is more of a mate than a kid sister, it took us a long time to realise that we were thick as thieves and cut from the same cloth. For a long time we didn't see it and lost a lot of good years together, but we have more than made up for that in recent years.

The final goodbyes have been done with friends; They started on Monday saying bye to some of the best work mates anyone can have. I am majorly lucky that I have worked for a company that is more like a family that works together, We have plenty of nights out and have a laugh as well as work your butts off.

Then Wednesday night, I had the significant honor of one of my oldest friends Mr. Hunt cook us a fantastic meal and host a decent Wednesday night in. Which involved a few bottles of wine, some great food and laughed about the good old days in school, 20 years I have known this lad, and I wouldn't change him for the world.

Oh, I nearly forgot about the Wednesday before drinks after work which turned into heading to G.A.Y in Manchester with the most prominent gay in the village then a drunk walk home from town, I mean if I'm going to have one last night in my hometown I might as well do it right haha.

Then onto yesterday, I spent a little time with Kate, now I have known Kate about 15 years, and she has recently had a beautiful baby girl, Kate has practically been like a sister to me, so Uncle Richard had to see the new addition before I jetted off around the world.

Last night we had a fabulous family meal with my family, we went out for food because there is like 500 of us well 14, but it feels like 500 haha, Gran booted off because she won't eat any foreign muck and they had run out of fish.... She ended up with Gammon and chips bless her. I was great to all get together for some food, but it was not the final goodbye as they are all descending onto Terminal 1 at the airport tomorrow.

Now today we are spending today with Lauren's family, her brother has come home from Uni to see us off, and tonight we are having a chippy tea because it's the law in England to have a chippy tea on a Friday. Tomorrow we are off around the world, but not before we have a full English breakfast, haha, We have no idea when we will have a full English again so getting one last one in.

I guess that's it I am pretty confident social media will keep us all up to date with each other, and the joys of FaceTime and Skype will keep us all in touch. I have some exciting news, so please continue reading.
